I initially made the comic cover in an attempt to try a vintage sort of style, not knowing what the comic's plot was going to be about - so if you’re wondering why Nova’s outfit doesn’t even match the comic, that’s probably why. It’s also way too stylish for the situation, though she is SLAYING!!! I might save it for a different comic or drawing.

I always thought it would be funny if Nova could finally have her “happy little family” set up by somebody, only to be twisted by… the handyman au, I guess. I mean, can she ever really have a normal family? One of her dads is literally an evil triangle. There always has to be some sort of narratively significant and messy emotions brewing under their skin when it comes to these guys…
